You probably can't afford three weeks in the hospital either. Try not to visit your grandma while you are collecting germs from others and spreading them about.

They can test for it. Evidently the CDC has problems doing that, but testing works.

"I'd have conquered the "Breadbasket of Europe", but I was afraid that some of my bank accounts would be frozen." Is THIS what the US State Dept thinks?
1
The Democrats and Republicans MOSTLY agree on most problems and many solutions. It's just a shame that the Democrats stopped speaking to the Republicans. I do not blame the origins of that solely on the Democrats, just it's persistence.
1
@MLinaresSR47 "Do you accept that Covid-19 is infectious?" That sort of insightful , thought provoking, astute question.? Yeah, the audio was fine, and yet, somehow painful.

That room full of lawyers, both disbarred and licensed, all know that she cannot speak on any potential case. She would be in violation of ethics and could become ineligible to be a judge, possibly even disbarred. That was their intent, but no one nominated for the Supreme Court ever responds to those questions. Judges can only express legal opinions on specific cases before the court after hearing testimony, reading briefs and examining precedents.

What exactly is going to cause this "fizzle"?
1
Dasani water is bottled by Coke ( with a MUCH higher profit margin ).
1
You can choose when to start. Someone else may choose when you stop.
1
@redbull1826 They'd only have had to keep a dozen or so to be safe. No need to budget for 4000.
1
It will infect most people and lose access to victims and "burn out" naturally long before a vaccine is available. Perhaps in a year. A few more people will get it next year and it will be added to our vaccine list the next. Since everyone will bury someone that they knew, the vaccine wont really be hard to distribute.
1
@michaelh2931 There is no vaccine. This is not a movie.
1
Better to break up via text.
1
They know a vacuum cleaner guy.
1
Translation: "We helped him in every possibly way until her body was discovered and a warrant issued. We had hoped for months of preparation before her body might be found, but we have not called his burner phone since the warrant."

stsitluc rsbuper Not a single court permitted an evidentiary hearing. No judge ever considered the available evidence.
1
Perhaps "Idiocracy" was really prophetic.
1
They really can't handle a month in the hospital either.
1
@greyveteran7007 The rest of the world watched China in amazement for two months and then DID NOTHING to prepare.
1
@nothanksnopenoname6403 The "10 cases " in your state were infected about two weeks ago. Think about it.
1
Have your ID ready.
1
Can you afford one month in a hospital?
1
@Barb4sale That's just the federal hook that gives the FBI jurisdiction for a national manhunt. Wyoming did not need murder case with a POI 2000 miles away.
1
@andrewnicholson6634 Yes. As she should. Every case is different.
1
Probably, and it will also be a part of our menu of diseases from now on. Pretty soon, so many people will have had it that it will struggle to find hosts.
1
I'm sure that the full Senate will consider it all before voting to accept her.
1
@danielmanahan692 That'd be a deal breaker.
1
@SikConVicTioN And yet the Waco standoff TV movie aired before the siege even ended. TV does not let facts get in the way of a story.
1
@sarahs5425 If you go ahead with the party, grandma may miss her 6th. But this is America, we do whatever we want regardless.
1
I am a conservative. I have opinions and desires. Those desires may not always line up with The Constitution and I would expect my Supreme Court to ALWAYS follow The Constitution. Like I say to my liberal contemporaries: "There is an amendment process, use it". What I cannot endure is a court that makes up the law as it goes. That is the job of our accountable elected officials.

Twitter talks. Money walks...away.

According to him.

In every school of Economics, SOMEONE has to come in dead last. Usually they end up tending bar or serving coffee, uhm, then maybe Congress.
1
Go for it,they have no wall.
1
Vote like your life depends on it.
1
NY created those "incentives" because they are having to compete against places with "lower taxes". Evidently NY chose to lose economic growth to the competition.
1
It really doesn't infect power lines.
1
Doesn't the UK require ID to vote?
1
@Angryjenkinsdigital Your are correct. Those who do not make the cut for Harvard, UMass or Boston College do often attend Boston U. Harry Chu should take a look at the University of Georgia. A very old school with a long historical connection to Yale.
1
Within that context, she had used the term in a paper to differentiate between precedents so beyond debate that no case could ever be expected before the court. No one brings cases to the court expecting to restore Jim Crow laws, for instance. That's DONE. The Senator then brought up another case asking if it were a super-precedent. The mere fact that she thought it worth discussing rendered it NOT a super-precedent, as defined in the paper and earlier question.

@agresseur7184 Harry Reid was warned that eliminating the super-majority would come back to bite them. He chose poorly.
1
Someone explain to me what happened. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kB5tJwS-3zw
1
LOL, not in the South.
1
They found natural gas in Ukraine which could break Russia's near-monopoly supplying Germany. Russia does not desire to rule over the ashes, they want to increase their GDP. It's a simple "Give me your lunch money." situation.
1
Ordering millions of tests ( weeks late ) does not = "contained". The CDC dropped the ball. Was it due to incompetence, overconfidence or just setting the President up for the blame over politics? We'll never know, but a LOT of people will die for it.
1
His fans in the comments have it covered.
1
I expect 105% turnout before it's over.
1
With the American "They can't tell me what to do" attitude, the USA will have more cases and deaths than China and Europe combined. I'm truly surprised that schools are closing. Evidently state epidemiologists are giving Governors better advice than the CDC has been giving the White House.
