@tonijohnson8286 Witnesses lie to Congress often and nothing happens. Lie to a grand jury and you will be prosecuted. I am aware of the impeachment process. The Democrats don't have enough votes to impeach. A conviction in the Senate is a non-starter.All of this is political theater, that is why I want the witnesses talking to a grand jury. It would get more honest facts instead of pre-election sound bytes.

@mikean1123 As far as I know Mr.Durham has an open investigation on matters related to this coup attempt. Of course, I have no confidence that anything will happen, its DC where everyone knows everyone else's dirt and nobody except outsiders get prosecuted.

@imtheboss1826 That's true for impeachments. If the goal is an impeachment that's the procedure. If the goal is to find out who did what and when, a grand jury is the way to go. It can indict people who are NOT a president, and unlike congress which uses hearings to get campaign soundbytes on the air, a grand jury is made up of citizens. Testimony is secret and perjury actually gets charged. If your only goal is to impeach the president, they are lying to you. The Democrats do NOT have enough votes to impeach. Impeachment was never designed to be used to overturn elections.

@JRG2733 It is an excellent legal concept, that's why I want these witnesses before a grand jury where real justice happens, not conspiracy theories.

@Drifter1969 You assume that we want the President on trial, we'd prefer that the liars and embezzlers who are supporting this coup see real justice in real courts instead of the country club of congress.
