I've forgotten what it is like to be young and to think that we OWN anything. Does anyone believe that the massive US Military bases in the US were NOT built on people's farms and land, bulldozing down homes and stores to do so? That the hundreds of miles of trenchworks of WW1 were not through farmer's fields? Do any of you think that if your country faces invasion that your beach house will NOT become a barracks or knocked down? If you are facing a REAL war, an existential threat, it is better that YOUR side use your private, personal, "property" than your enemy use them. War is the definition of injustice; the best that you can hope for is a victory and MAYBE restitution afterwards, however unlikely. Many will be required to sacrifice their lives, touch your CAR! The horror.
