  1. The OBVIOUS compromise to make for a submarine carrier is to make it a DRONE CARRIER ... which will allow the "plane" to be lighter/smaller while keeping the armament. One of the biggest problems of such a submarine will be DISPLACEMENT, because you cant have giant hangars full of air and get the submarine to dive easily. Thus "smaller aircraft" will be a requirement. VTOLs would also solve the problem of the runway ... In total it is a STUPID IDEA ... because missiles are much easier to store and instead of a giant hangar filled with air you could simply use missiles ... or maybe even a battleship gun which fires shells.
