  1. If you want to store LIQUID FUEL ... it makes more sense to try and get METHANE, because the temperature at which it turns from gas to liquid is much higher than that for hydrogen ... AND it is also a much larger molecule in gaseous form, thus reducing the cost for quality control / welding for any pipes and machines connected to it. Hydrogen - due to its very small molecular size - can leak ... and a hydrogen-air mixture is dangerous. It is SMART for Space-X to use methane instead of hydrogen to fuel their spacecraft ... unlike NASA. Methane cant be stored in metal structures though ... and that's where hydrogen gets an advantage again.
