  1. BEWARE of these THEORETICAL PROMISES ... which are only giving you the MAXIMUM / OPTIMAL scenario! Here are the problems: - INSECTS are needed to pollinate plants a lot of the time - INSECTS will nest / sh.t on / live in your "technology" ... so you need to have a technology that can "live with their presence"

"Early stage of development" isnt really correct ... because the "science" (the MATH on how to shape the funneling system) has been done and now it is a problem of "optimising the production process to make these things as cheap as possible". Having much smaller photovoltaic cells is one step, because they require to be "perfect/without any flaws" ... and smaller cells make it easier to get those from a batch of raw material. Layering the cells for different wavelengths adds another layer of efficiency on top of it. The best way would be to have a panel where the top / "light concentration layer" can be replaced in case there is a better version ...

  3. If you want to store LIQUID FUEL ... it makes more sense to try and get METHANE, because the temperature at which it turns from gas to liquid is much higher than that for hydrogen ... AND it is also a much larger molecule in gaseous form, thus reducing the cost for quality control / welding for any pipes and machines connected to it. Hydrogen - due to its very small molecular size - can leak ... and a hydrogen-air mixture is dangerous. It is SMART for Space-X to use methane instead of hydrogen to fuel their spacecraft ... unlike NASA. Methane cant be stored in metal structures though ... and that's where hydrogen gets an advantage again.

  4. Cobalt and Nickel are NOT "a solution", because there isnt enough of the stuff on the planet FOR ALL THE POPULATION ... and without that NOTHING IS GAINED, because europe isnt increasing in population (except for so-called "refugees").

  5. Nuclear power IS NOT "A SOLUTION" ... no matter which technology! The reason is simple: - the TECHNOLOGY is "safe" IN THEORY, but - there are ALWAYS humans involved in RUNNING THE POWER PLANTS ... and this doesnt have to be "the people inside the plant", because Fukushima blew up because the ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING was/IS terrible (emergency batteries in the basement got flooded, the protective wall out to sea has a breach in exactly the direction from where the tsunami came and it wasnt high enough) ... and the same applies to the german nuclear waste dump mine at Asse (signed off by then ecology minister Angela Merkel). The big point is: DO NOT TRUST "EXPERTS", because they USUALLY have a narrow-minded view on the issue AND TOTALLY IGNORE COMMON SENSE! Scientists just WANT MORE FUNDING ... and can make too tall promises!

  6. - solar panels are COMPLICATED TECHNOLOGY ... and thus "replace rather than fix" - wind turbines are SIMPLE TECHNOLOGY ... and thus "repairable" Alternative power generation is NEVER an "either-or" decision, because it could just be a trivial version of the wind-wheel on a "Western Farm" pumping water "to a higher level" ... and then using that water as a power source. It can even be a cycle using the same water over and over again, and the point of it is to store energy in that way, which even eliminates the need for a large battery storage (which always includes the LOSSES from the DC - AC transformation).
