  1. +Havar Eriksen There is a HUGE difference between "glueing" and "welding" ... and that becomes apparent when you try to work on THIN material ... like the body of a car. That kind of material is EASY to glue, but really really hard or even impossible to weld.

  2. "Glueing metal together is welding." NOPE ... glueing is soldering. The difference is: - soldering: only the "connecting material" is liquid - welding: the metal of the connected pieces is partly liquified in addition to the connecting material

  3. ian yurt During welding you MELT some part of the pieces you wish to bond. That does NOT happen while glueing ... just like it does not happen during soldering.

  4. ian yurt My point is ... he is an expert and should know better, because "non experts" will be watching AND "LEARNING/COPYING" from this. Oh and your post about "glue" is totally irrelevant, because it doesnt describe the correct process.
