  2. "Happiness in marriage is entirely a matter of chance." - Jane Austen in: Pride & Prejudice ... Charlotte Lucas explains this, then marries a really stupid (but moderately rich/secure) man ... and arranges her life to "only see her husband for a few minutes each day". She also gets pregnant rather quickly to have a "companion" other than her husband. Modern women are FAR more stupid than this fictional character ... even though many of them probably read the novel.
