  1. Most / all this footage looks to be "northern Sweden", where they have a "harsh climate car testing area" which many manufacturers go to. Frozen lakes, snowy inclines ... and if you come early you can even do the "muddy autumn season".

  2. American Jeeps and trucks are simply ADDED WEIGHT to "compensate for lack somewhere else" [trousers]. You DONT need that stuff. Watch the Top Gear Africa special (season 19 IIRC), where they look for the source of the Nile.
