  1.  @clintonburr852  No ... because the big selling point of metric is that you can SHIFT THE COMMA EASILY! 1 cubic meter = 1000 litres ... that is SIMPLE!

  2. The problem is the EVERYDAY JARHEADS need to change too, because these might be required to supply a technological component. Accidents - overlooking the specific units required - is easily done! Why keep TWO systems alive ... when you NEED to switch to the SIMPLER metric system for engineering reasons? GET YOUR KIDS EDUCATED!

The big question is ... why americans have stuck with IMPERIAL units ... after kicking out these "imperialists" from their country ... and why they didnt switch to METRIC, which was developed in FRANCE, which was an important factor in the americans actually winning their independence, because the french King decided to keep the Royal Navy busy with a little war of his own at the time. If they had been free to blockade a few US ports it would have been a lot harder to finance and organise (supply-wise) that war.
