The problem is the american STROADS ... because roundabouts are there to make crossings easier for high volume crossroads ... to prevent the "cars stuck on the crossing" problem ... but you NEED TO SORT OUT YOUR LANE BEFORE THE ROUNDABOUT ... which isnt good for american "always drive left" driving style. Oh and roundabouts are ROUND ... and americans only do 1/4 mile STRAIGHT RACING (even Nascar doesnt have REAL corners).

  2. If you want to torpedo the idea of "roundabouts in the USA" ... bring up the SWINDON ROUNDABOUT ... which is SEVEN roundabouts in one! [Normally I'd say we germans take the top spot for OVERENGINEERING, but the Brits have us beaten here.] Roundabouts are GREAT, because you dont need to stop at a red light while there is zero other car around.
