  1. Look at the "Fire Department kills people" video from "Not Just Bikes" for another way the dutch "allow their ambulances/emergency vehicles to MOVE QUICKLY".

  2. Comparing the "Rettungsgasse" on the AUTOBAHN to CITY TRAFFIC situations is not really a valid comparison. It should be "ambulance in a city, which is typically "people moving out of the way quickly", because every time you hear the siren you start to look around to find out which direction it is coming from ... to see if you need to make room and to where.
