  1. It is the complaint of a "tourist" ... and someone who doesnt own a map (google maps is no replacement for a real map which you look at before setting out on a journey, because you can see the entire journey on the real map).

  2. It also means the bus will arrive much earlier than indicated on the timetable ... when there is no traffic. In Germany buses stop ... if there are people standing at the bus stop ... no need for waving around.

  3. The bus system works for locals who use the bus ... but it is hard for tourists and others who are new to the area. Even 50 years ago our bus drivers would (occasionally ... if you had a nice one) announce the next stop over the speakers.
