  1. TRADITIONALLY ... "all money of the family belonged to the husband, BUT he also HAD TO honor all the expenses of the wife." This is the basis for "the man is supposed to pay", but the "his money is our money and my money is my money" part is completely new and would require some adjustment on the women's part. Your wife apparently made that adjustment.

  2.  @bigschnozer576  There is another solution: just PAY a woman to "be a surrogate for your child(ren)" and then raise them yourself as single dad. This is expensive "up front", but negates the risk of losing everything "in the end". You MIGHT be able to "keep the surrogate mom around as quasi-wife" ... and TEST HER for wifey material in that phase ... IF you want to take the risk.
