Well ... concerning the "top 1%" comment ... HERE IN THE EU ... Amazon pays less than 1% taxes ... in Luxembourg (where all the bills from Amazon EU come from) ... so they / Jeff Bezos are PAYING NOTHING and this "economist" should shut up and look at the people which are actually called out by this comment. Obviously the top 1% ARE paying A LOT of taxes ... but there are SOME OF THEM who are "creative" in their taxes and pay NOTHING. Those are the ones called out ... and if they were to pay their fair share it would be a lot of money.
