Back after WWI germans "favorable to the military" NEVER blamed the generals ... which is the reason why the STAB IN THE BACK MYTH was created ... so when "some real bad guys" got elected in 1933 we had FIELD MARSHAL HINDENBURG as president of the country ... and there are stories that Hindenburg - who was 86 at the time - was mentally "not quite there" (maybe at Brandon-level). tl;dr THINGS NEVER CHANGE ... because people dont learn ... and they are the same in all countries!
