  1. NO mask "prevents YOU from getting the infection". That was NEVER the point. The point of masks is to PROTECT OTHERS from getting it ... if you have it ... but that only requires a simple mask, one that can stop droplets. Smelling smoke is a FALSE argument, because that is MOLECULES in the air ... which is even smaller than the virus.
