Did you lose friends to "street vendor drugs" OR to "official drugs"? Hospitals use it safely every day. Fentanyl is HIGHLY CONCENTRATED and needs to be DILUTED ... which is the point where it is easy to make mistakes as a "street producer". It makes a difference if you have a 1% or 3% Fentanyl pill ... maybe even by not mixing the stuff properly while diluting it.

Fentanyl is being used in hospitals every day ... safely. The problem with "street fentanyl" is that the stuff REQUIRES DILUTING to 1% (or whatever) Fentanyl, 99% "filler" ... and if the "producer" makes a tiny error you could end up with only a 2-3% Fentanyl instead, a.k.a. an OVERDOSE. Thus the way to stop overdosing is to provide legal Fentanyl for people who want it ... which would stop the profit for the gangs AND allow you control over the market ... with contact to the addicts to get them to rehabilitation and off the stuff. ONLY "waging war on dealers" and "closing the border" WILL NOT STOP THE PROBLEM. You need to take away their markets by COMPETING WITH THEM and you can provide a SAFE product.

It includes a different cultural approach too ... because americans are "too much libertarian / freedom hippies" and dont respect rules. Only going after the dealers wont work ... and this is what "the war on drugs" was doing. WITH NO CHANGE FOR THE BETTER!

The problem is NOT "the substance itself" ... but rather the fact that it is HIGHLY CONCENTRATED and MUST BE DILUTED. A "street producer" can easily make mistakes and it is a difference if your pill has 1% (safe) or 3% (3-times overdosis) Fentanyl. That is the reason for all the "instant deaths after one pill".
