  1. The rules for media NEED TO CHANGE! Obvious LIES and MANIPULATION need to have consequences! Media can claim "freedom of speech" ... but also get more protection than that ... and yet ... THEY HAVE A FAR BIGGER POTENTIAL FOR CAUSING HARM THROUGH MISINFORMATION! As a german I can say there is no worse thing than lying media ... because they are PROPAGANDA and manipulate truth. There are easy and fair methods to implement changes: - IF some media organisation has to retract something (Project Veritas gets a lot of those) ... the retraction/correction should be TEN TIMES BIGGER THAN THE LIE - IF some journalist makes a claim ... they need to be FORCED to "face the opposition" and to answer questions. Being able to "run away from criticism" is at the core of the problem. - IF some journalist repeatedly breaches these new standards they should be barred from public life (=jobs in anything propaganda related and politics) for life
