As a german I can only remind you of 1989 and how the people of the Warsaw Pact got rid of their communist regimes ... AND I have to add that it is the UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS who are the biggest part of the dictatorship, because they are the ones ENFORCING THE DICTATORIAL RULES! They have also been infiltrated by REBRANDED COMMUNISTS in "the long march through the institutions" (which started in the 50s with support from the KGB as per Yuri Bezmenov).
