The ONLY feasible way to "cool down the planet" is to build a SOLAR SHIELD IN SPACE, which doesnt have to be that big, because we might only have to have 1-2% of the "visible surface of the earth" blocked off ... at the point where the rays of the sun strike perpendicular to the surface of the earth. a) build "foldable elements" (like the solar panels for space craft) b) send rockets to the asteroid belt and drag a few big rocks to the right spot (but sadly Elon Musk is too stupid and focused on Mars)
