  2. If you look through the comments you will find a few "purists" who expect the end to be "just like in the comic" ... without thinking about the requirements for that.

  4. He IS a fine director ... just not for every style of movie ... and if you are asked to direct "simple happy end movies" while not being good at that ... you end up with a turd. That isnt necessarily the fault of the director, because the Studio probably influences the end result.

  5. Watchmen is a great movie ... that mostly gets its bad rep from fans of the book/story ... who expected it to be exactly like the book. This is an obvious impossibility for a movie ... so people didnt really think it through. The bit about false marketing is probably true as well ... but such a complex and dark movie is a niche film anyways.

  6.  Subscribe To Me For Good Luck  Dr. Manhattan cant have been a hero ... because he does not have any motivation anymore at the end. He more or less "leaves the pages of the story and goes adventuring".   IMO the whole point of the story is that THERE IS NO HERO ... because everyone is doing good and bad things.
