"Memes" arent illegal in germany ... "insulting someone" is. This is something far stronger than "offending someone" in Britain. Just because "insults and smears" are freedom of speech in the USA ... doesnt mean they should be legal everywhere else, because the USA values "decorum" in their political chambers and thus forces people to self-censor ... and Germany doesnt have "bleeping and blurring" on TV either.
