  1. "Holding open a door" is something that was NECESSARY ... in the time of LONG DRESSES/SKIRTS ... but women dont wear those anymore, so the necessity isnt there anymore. If there is someone with a bunch of packages in both their hands ... I'll hold open a door to help them REGARDLESS OF MALE/FEMALE.
