  13. Why does she have the power to "spend the city's money WITHOUT OVERSIGHT" anyways? Does she have a "city credit card"? There should be a department of the city - logically the payroll department - which should handle those travel arrangements and book the flights and hotels for all the employees on business trips. This behaviour should be "constant" no matter who gets elected, so it makes sense it is handled by a bureaucrat.

  18. 25 years ago Chris Rock made his hilarious "public service video" about "How not to get beaten up by the police" ... and it seems that "gang culture" and "always antagonising the police/government" has gotten worse ... but eventually people will have to face the music and will get punished for it. Not accepting the first deal was STUPID, because it would have been zero consequences ... except for "being forced to behave". Apparently "behaving" is too much to ask for a certain part of society.

  25.  @daCubanaqt  You need to think about the availability of airports too ... because "flying an hour" doesnt really save any time if you then need to get a car to drive for another two hours. You can just drive the whole thing and 300 miles isnt really that much, well at least not here in Germany ... with decent roads and no real congestion. [Americans are CRAP at "driving discipline", which is responsible for creating congestion even if there are many many MANY lanes available.]

Examples: - IF the carrying ability REQUIREMENT for firefighters gets lowered to accomodate women getting in, will they still be able to carry heavy people out of burning buildings? [Same for soldiers really, because there is only ONE SIZE OF GUN and ammunition is standardised too, so a weaker woman could manage less.] - IF people who are NEARLY BLIND are allowed to drive a car because the standard gets lowered, will that increase road safety?

  42. When I was working for a big industrial company it was the company itself which arranged my business travels ... i.e. booked the flights and hotels. That makes sense, because you MIGHT be able to arrange for special deals with these companies ... if all their employees use "airline X" for their travels.
