@fransvandenheuvel7161 You are NAIVE ... because you think "the government = politicians". The truth is: the government = 90% UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS ... the ones who IMPLEMENT and DESIGN the laws. Only a rather small amount of "the government" is actually "the politicians", because they are being guided by THE INFORMATION WHICH THE BUREAUCRATS TAILOR FOR THEM ... and that includes LYING and CHEATING. Just think back to the start of 2020, when Priti Patel TRIED to do something about the "boat taxis" and so on ... when the Home Office BUREAUCRATS openly "revolted" against her.
