  1. My thoughts on the matter started with the question about "the meaning of life". The answer to that is simply "procreation and the preservation of the species" because the question is "generic" and the answer needs to apply to any lifeform. You can split this answer into two parts: a) procreation (which is trivial and needs not be talked about) and b) preserving the species. Now this latter bit can be split up into two parts again: - understanding the universe, advancing scientific knowledge and technology: basically STEM science ... which basically uses INTELLIGENCE - "not killing each other with the scientific advances" ... or in other words: WISDOM This latter bit - WISDOM - is sorely underrepresented in our world ... because it says NO TO PROFIT/POWER.
