  4. Twitter does have "bot problems" ... because I got declared to show "bot-like behaviour" and got kicked off twice in a week ... but since I dont have a mobile phone to receive text messages reactivating it is an "argue with Twitter over email" thing ... so I dont bother with it.

  5. An alternate way to get notifications is an RSS-feeder. I use Feedbro on Firefox and it is great, it provides ... - one button that shows the number of new / unwatched videos from your subscriptions - the ability to sort your subscriptions into folders to have them thematically grouped - the ability to have audio-notifications for new videos (the addon can be set to look for new videos every 5 minutes ... but that isnt the default time!) - since you have your subscriptions in the addon it doesnt matter if Youtube unsubscribes you from a channel (you just have to resub if you notice it, but since you come across the videos anyways it will make it easier) - DOWNSIDE: sadly not every site has RSS-/Atom-feeds
