  1. That would be a way to have them "do something useful" while there is no war. Every soldier should be trained in the arts of building / crafting anyways ... in cases of emergencies like natural desasters ... which usually create a need to rebuild afterwards.

  2. Just use the billion (or whatever millions are gathered) on a propaganda campaign to break the stupid narrative of Democrats and Soros-NGOs. That would be the way to push the politicians actually funding.
