  1. t's not quite that simple. A big problem is all that money has gone into speculation and not real production. The reason you have inflation is all the shortages and bottlenecks which speculation cannot address. Americans need to produce more goods and services for inflation to fall. Or they need to have a collapse in consumption. It looks like the Fed is only ready to oversee the latter.
