I noticed you make too quick decisions without informing us or allow us to discuss it. It doesn't hurt to brainstorm. I didn't even know you went on a cross country trip until you were already in Indiana. Even though you graduated from college, you still relied on your emotions of running to home base when something goes wrong. Clearly, you felt your home base in Jersey is a safe place. Obviously, you need to learn how to expand your mind when you have a problem elsewhere. That's what credit cards are for... emergencies. Sit back & cool down & think! Don't rely on your emotions!!!

@solarcampercar The question is do you have a loan for your SUV??? If so, you might want to get the engine fixed until you paid down the loan first. Because... think how expensive it would be to keep paying on that loan while getting another vehicle??? Next time, don't get CHEVY. That's a POOR quality vehicle. There are other vehicles with better quality that would last up to 400K.

I was thinking the same thing. Shipping it home would be a WASTE of money!

@thing7778 WRONG place to talk about religious. Let's stick to vehicle & engine issues. Thanks.

@JesusisLordgh8j THAT IS HIS BUSINESS, NOT OURS, IN REGARDS TO RELIGIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@JesusisLordgh8j YES, I AGREE ABOUT LEXUS OR TOYOTA!

A Tesla Camper would be a WASTE of money! You would be having so much problems that many mechanics would NOT know how to fix a Tesla engine. Your best bet is to get your engine rebuilt or buy a brand new engine at a bargain price. Shop around online!!! Shipping your SUV home for $2,000 is A WASTE of money!!!!!!! USE the money toward to engine rebuilding. Look for the best place out west to get your engine rebuilt at a good price. Jersey is not the best place to find cheap labor. If I were you, I would explore to find the best mechanic to get your engine rebuilt. You could even ask Car Wizard to see if he could do it. You could always get a used engine for cheap, but you will never know when it will break down. So, at this point, your best bet is to rebuild which could cost up to five grands or so. Do you think you could find another SUV for five grands? I doubt it... not in that good condition.

@solarcampercar Well, compared to other vehicles, Chevy doesn't have high marks.

Arslan, I know you ignored my comments. I felt this one is really important to mention since I don't want you to get in trouble. The yellow wire is VERY noticeable. You might want to buy a black heat shrink tube big enough to fit thru the plug & shrink it from the car to the plug outlet. This way, the security won't notice it. If you appreciate this comment, please let me know.

Nice episode!!! Few things that concerns me... I see one window cover on the right side is not holding up well. I'm sure you will fix that with suction cups installed. I like other people's idea of gluing a thick foam to the window cover for more insulation. That will keep the warmth inside longer. That's a great idea so you can use less of your heater and the hassle of refilling it all the time. Instead of coloring your suction cups as one mentioned, just use a black duct tape to cover it up from the inside. If you are gonna use foam, it will eliminate any lighting coming out thru the suction cups. What I'm concerned about is that exhaust pipe under the car. Since it's not really pointing out of the vehicle's chassis, it could build up plenty of carbon monoxide under your vehicle overnight and could seep its way back into the vehicle thru gaps & cracks & small openings. Either create a hole thru car surface at the bottom for the exhaust pipe to stick out or get a longer pipe to point it away from the chassis in the rear. Because there is a big "Box space" under the chassis that could hold a large amount of carbon monoxide when the vehicle is not moving. Also, spray foam any gap & crack underneath the vehicle for extra safety. For those two holes you created, you can use automotive black putty to fill it in. That will block carbon monoxide from coming back in. Personally, I would have bought two small piece of pipes to permanently attach to the heater at the bottom & tape it with a special tape. So, that way, you don't have to struggle to tight the clamps while bending the heater box over again. Just slide the heater thru the holes and attach it at the bottom. It makes for the job a whole lot easier to move it whenever needed and less likely to leak inside.

Best Advice out of all comments for this video!!!

@De.D1 Those nurses get paid very well, probably more than you make. Yet, you would bring them meals???

Like everyone else who attended college, he has a student loan debt. So, he wants to get ahead in life. You would do the same if an opportunity was given.

Sushi is not junk!

I agree about the bed.

@MoneyMike-1 He can sleep in the SUV while he waits for the mechanic to be ready. Or sleep in the woods. There are many youtubers who have done that.
2
@cklindo4646 I would NEVER use the dealership. They are RIP OFFS!!! A lot of times, they send it to local mechanics that does a very good job for them.
2
Probably in the future.

Since my comments were ignored, I will no longer waste my time leaving any more comments.

@thing7778 LOL Just BEAT IT!!!

I was gonna ask you why Camaro when there are bigger vehicles you could have lived off better. And you should have a heavy blanket on top of that thin electric blanket for cold months. Glad to see you have a bigger SUV camper. I'll go watch that link you provided.

No comment from me this time!!!

@andreaparke4899 Sounds like you are trying to hurt him no matter what. If any, he's getting more rest than other nurses. Yet, they all are tired from being overworked. You are being exaggerated here. Just beat it! Clearly,, you don't like his channel.

Are you going to Las Vegas as planned? Is that why you are in Illinois, on your way?
1
@cklindo4646 He already spent $2,000 to ship it home. So your figures are wrong.

@IMaBeastDoWatDEn The risk with an used engine is that it could break down unless it has low miles. Then, it would be worth it. Otherwise, it's best to go with rebuild or find a brand new engine at a bargain price. Because he can't afford to get break down again & again.
1
He just got out of college and his SUV broke down, remember? So, in the future, I'm sure he will improve his lifestyle.

@@PhD72 I am well aware of that. He got his SUV fixed but felt into deeper debt. Alright???????????????????? Any more question??? Jeez!

Trying to copy Ferris Bueller with the last part of the video, huh? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I don't think you're weird. You are trying to survive and getting ahead of the game which is a very smart thing to do. I would have done the same if I had to go to college during this era instead of the 90s. They don't want us to live comfort so we have to be smart about finding ways at their expenses. When you get a job, you can negotiate for free parking on top of your maximum salary... either they just give you a free pass or give you additional expense for parking which they can deduct from your pay as pre-tax item, depending on which state you plan to live in. It's as if you're living free tax-free.

You could have contacted CAR WIZARD in Kansas & see if he could take on your engine rebuild. He would have done a great job and he's fair. That's if you couldn't find a reasonable mechanic in Nevada.

I agree.
1
@cynthiaranzolin5175 Why are you wasting my time??? Everyone agreed that he made a HUGE mistake by sending his SUV back home. Even he agreed after he thought about it some more. So, the WHOLE point is we offered to help him to make a good decision if he needs it. So, what is your problem, huh?? Do you have to be sarcastic??? Beat it!!! You don't get to tell me what to do!!!
