  15. There is a local boba tea place that opened about 2 years ago. They use a digital POS system just like pretty much any business does nowadays. The single biggest difference between them and just about everywhere else is that when they turn the screen around for you to sign they bypass all of the tip screens and they WONT LET YOU TIP. They even refuse cash tips. These same people bend over backwards to make sure you are happy with their service and their drinks, and if you don't know what you want and they suggest something for you they WILL NOT LET YOU PAY until you've tried it and like it. If you don't like it they will make something else and they will give you both drinks for free. Their business is BOOMING, and word of mouth advertising for them has skyrocketed the amount of business to the point where it's always a long wait to get your drink, but nobody cares because they love the people who own the place and the people who work there so much.

They had, up until then, refused to visit because they thought this was a racist, hillbilly mecca that only played banjo music on the radio.   67. I have 3 friends who were married with kids to horrible women. The women left the kids with my friends after the divorce to go live their 304 phase. Thankfully all 3 of my buddies were strong enough to say "NO!" when their ex-wives tried to come crawling back. Now all 3 are raising their kids as single fathers and in all 3 cases the kids are so much better off with the mom out of the picture. Society tells us that it's always the father who leaves, or is forced out, but there are brave brothers out there fighting the good fight and doing the right thing, and I salute them all.

It really kicked off when all of those journalists started publishing effectively the same article about "Gamers are dead" that stated that "gamers" didn't have to be the audience for video games and tried to shift the customer base from what it has always been (predominately young males) to everyone BUT them. One of the reasons I got rid of live TV from my house was when I noticed just how much of an effect commercials had on toddlers, both my own kids and their friends and cousins. The kids would be running around acting wild, like toddlers do, but the second a commercial would come on they would all stop in their tracks and all attention would be glued to the TV. I started to suspect that there was either some sound outside of the hearing range of adults or something else going on, because it was eerie. I pointed it out to my family and they all started noticing the same thing.

  84. When my wife was pregnant with my now 10 year old daughter the only severe craving she got was for a Big Mac. We never eat at McDonalds but the craving was unquenchable. We went on 5 separate occasions and they didn't get her order right any of the 5 times, across 3 different locations. 3 of the times we got something other than a Big Mac, and the two times we got the Big Mac neither had sauce and one only had 2 buns.   86. I can tell you one thing; I've lost incredible respect for my middle-schooler's teachers. They each only offer 1 hour of their time per week to actually work with the students. ONE HOUR, and all of the students who need help have to fight over that single hour per week. My son doesn't even try to get into the zoom meetings with his teachers anymore, he just gets his help from my wife and I. All of their work and learning is either on their ipads or on education sites. The teachers just outline the syllabus and grade their work. It's incredible. It's ridiculous. I've always defended teachers as 'much more than simply daycare workers', but my opinion of them is rapidly changing at this point.

Young men tend to overly emphasize looks and don't understand how important personality is. Don't rush physical intimacy, whatever you do. I'll give you the same advice I give to young men; focus on yourself first and make yourself into a person you are proud of. If you find a man who will support you in that growth, great, but someone else won't make you happy if you are unhappy with yourself. With easier access to financing more people are willing to buy more than they can really afford. Almost NOBODY pays for cars with cash today. The demand and availability of cheap credit has driven the prices up, and will continue to do so as long as the debt is freely taken on, by both the people AND the irresponsible government.

There isn't enough to do around the house to keep her busy so she took a part time job so that she wouldn't just sit around bored and be tempted to shop online all day. I then said "Oh, I didn't realize you'd already baked in +$500. now I want you to lower the price by that much more." It got really uncomfortable but he did it. I walked out paying the price I wanted to pay ($4k under MSRP) at 1.9% (they initially told me they couldn't go lower than 7% before they ran my credit) and I didn't even look at length of loan or monthly payment until we'd already decided the total cost and interest rate. The sad part is that I heard a different salesman use the same "you don't get the warranty" tactic on an older couple while I was waiting for the finance guy to prep the paperwork, and it worked on them.

She tried to gaslight me into thinking it was somehow my fault because if I didn't want her to cheat I wouldn't have lived with another woman. She said she would stay with me but not to be surprised if it kept happening as long as I lived with my roommate. I was pissed and hurt and so I talked to my roommate and got her permission to lie to my now-ex because I knew what would hurt her the most. I told my now-ex that my roommate and I had been sleeping together the whole time. Her head exploded and for YEARS afterward I would run into mutual acquaintances who would tell me that she was STILL furious about the audacity of me cheating on her, and how I was the worst person ever. Almost 10 years later she friended me on Facebook just to yell at me about what a piece of crap I was. It still makes me smile to this day. The only thing I regret is that the "sleeping with my roommate" was a lie, because she was way hotter than my ex-gf.

IMO you'd only be a loser if you made the choice to have kids that you know are going to suffer due to finances or instability, that would end up in a life with a mother who isn't what she should be.
