I recently ran into a guy from Portland who was in my town vacationing with his family. He stood out like a sore thumb because he and his family were the only people in the donut shop wearing masks. When one of the locals asked him about it he said the same thing. "Portland isn't that bad. You just can't go down by City Hall, or to X neighborhood, or past Y street, or...." We all looked at him like he had just sprouted a second head. One of the other locals said "That sounds pretty bad." and he got mad and said "DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET!" and stormed out of the shop with his family.

The mayor isn't incompetent. This is a direct, intended and calculated result of progressive policies writ large. It's the same story in every city that has gone left and it's precisely to plan.

It's almost like opening the door even a little bit to evil and degeneracy leads to a flood of evil and degeneracy. But at least they kept Portland "weird".

The real reason they shuttered this place was that it was going to cost a FORTUNE in clown noses that they were going to have to hand out to anyone who would actually go inside and PAY for anything.

I disagree. The people of Portland have been pushing for ever more progressive policies and behaviors for decades. This isn't the result of inactivity, this is the direct result of opening the door of degeneracy and evil. But, hey man, keep Portland weird!

If it only took 3% of the population to win freedom from the British it's no wonder that 14% of the population can cause this much havoc.
