  1. I can tell you one thing; I've lost incredible respect for my middle-schooler's teachers. They each only offer 1 hour of their time per week to actually work with the students. ONE HOUR, and all of the students who need help have to fight over that single hour per week. My son doesn't even try to get into the zoom meetings with his teachers anymore, he just gets his help from my wife and I. All of their work and learning is either on their ipads or on education sites. The teachers just outline the syllabus and grade their work. It's incredible. It's ridiculous. I've always defended teachers as 'much more than simply daycare workers', but my opinion of them is rapidly changing at this point.

  2.  Hippie Style  Which then begs the question: Why have the teachers at all if the curriculum is such that each teacher only needs to provide a meager hour of their time per week actually teaching the students?
