Spot on about the hard work thing. Relationships certainly require effort, but that effort pays off. The problem with many modern women is that they view everything as transactional, so if you aren't doing X they aren't going to provide Y.

@GrasshopperKelly I didn't say it was never a transaction, I said many women view it as "transactional". By that I mean they basically force men to pay for their love on an item by item basis. In more crude terms it's just fancy, complicated prostitution. Want sex? OK, buy me this expensive thing. Want time with the lads? OK, but you have to pay for this and spend time on that first. etc etc Also, "only ever putting him second to her children" is also something I disagree with. A married couple should put each other first, kids second. If they do this it wont seem like the kids come second because the rest just falls in to place.
