  1.  @thebiggestpanda1  The same thing happened to me growing up and that's exactly what I did. I did exactly enough to not get in trouble. Messed me up for years, and it wasn't until I got out of my abusive parents' house that I finally was able to form a solid work ethic again, but it took years.
