  2. There is a local boba tea place that opened about 2 years ago. They use a digital POS system just like pretty much any business does nowadays. The single biggest difference between them and just about everywhere else is that when they turn the screen around for you to sign they bypass all of the tip screens and they WONT LET YOU TIP. They even refuse cash tips. These same people bend over backwards to make sure you are happy with their service and their drinks, and if you don't know what you want and they suggest something for you they WILL NOT LET YOU PAY until you've tried it and like it. If you don't like it they will make something else and they will give you both drinks for free. Their business is BOOMING, and word of mouth advertising for them has skyrocketed the amount of business to the point where it's always a long wait to get your drink, but nobody cares because they love the people who own the place and the people who work there so much.

I lost my dad in 2005 and still miss him, that part never goes away, but I honor his memory by trying to improve myself every day. I hope you can pick yourself up and start doing the same.

  10. I think the Cocomelon people have simply ramped up the techniques that television advertisement companies have been using forever. One of the reasons I got rid of live TV from my house was when I noticed just how much of an effect commercials had on toddlers, both my own kids and their friends and cousins. The kids would be running around acting wild, like toddlers do, but the second a commercial would come on they would all stop in their tracks and all attention would be glued to the TV. I started to suspect that there was either some sound outside of the hearing range of adults or something else going on, because it was eerie. I pointed it out to my family and they all started noticing the same thing.

  11. When my wife was pregnant with my now 10 year old daughter the only severe craving she got was for a Big Mac. We never eat at McDonalds but the craving was unquenchable. We went on 5 separate occasions and they didn't get her order right any of the 5 times, across 3 different locations. 3 of the times we got something other than a Big Mac, and the two times we got the Big Mac neither had sauce and one only had 2 buns. We haven't even thought about going back since.

  23. Start cutting your internet time, especially social media, and get out and interact with real people over mutual interests and your mental health will improve drastically.

  24.  @37Hipper  Start small. Do SOMETHING out of the ordinary in that lazy time, even if it's just standing up and walking around for 10 minutes. Make that part of your habit and then make it 20 minutes. Once you are used to moving, start to focus that movement in the direction you want to head. Keep physically moving even when you change and start focusing on movement in your financial life. Improving your physical fitness will help keep you motivated to improving the other parts of your life. It's going to suck, but you can do it and once you've been doing it you will start to feel proud of yourself for overcoming the suck.

  26. The problem with that is that it would likely make the finals completely uninteresting as the streamer would likely roll them due to items and gear. Non-streamers were already allowed in this tournament and you can see how that turned out. What they really need is an enforceable ruleset that doesn't give streamers an exponential advantage over non-streamers, like an SSF tournament.

  32. MHWilds is the first time I was actually overwhelmed by the options in the character creator of a game. I played it a little and then tried to stop so that I'd have more to discover next February. Then I went back to it and tried to stop because I wanted to have more to discover next February....then I went back and fought Rey Dau and now I can't wait for February can it please be February already?

  43. I too was raised by a narcissist mother, although she no longer has any place in my life nor the life of my wife and kids. Even though you don't think you will make a lasting difference you can set an example every day in every interaction you have. Kindness goes a long way, especially in face to face interactions, and even if you won't leave a centuries long legacy by small acts of kindness you certainly can make the world better, even if only infinitesimally.
