The economy continues to tank. Come 2024 they will all campaign on exactly that, blaming the Repubs the entire time because, after all, they've been in control and the economy just kept getting worse...just like "we" predicted. The right has always cared about being right, just, moral, while the left has only cared about winning. This is why they don't care if their guy lies, they don't care about behaving reprehensibly. NPC's don't quite get that the government can put you in jail if you quit paying (taxes) but when a company pisses off enough of their customers they can't do shit about it other than slowly bleed to death financially. They've spent so much time dehumanizing regular, every day Americans that they can't comprehend how big the backlash can get.
