@carolimagnusroman4972 I agree, Italy can only do it's best, but the rest should be solidary. This is the problem: we have a solidarity problem in Europe. We are working on it, but meanwhile we need to accept that we need other solutions to assuage this migration problem. I think we should artificially create a zone in Europe where all refugees must domiciliate.

Can we not artificially create a satellite state between Italy and Greece: a zone where we inhabit those refugees seeking new land? I think it could be an interesting experiment. We should be thinking innovatively.

So, I would like to see how they build an economy and social ecosystem and if their presence in Europe will lead to them being more competitive than what their level of competitiveness would have been in their former countries. Maybe we should refocus migration policies around competence-based principles. Why a satellite state? Because it will also be a learning opportunity for the EU and a precedent to for example, the harmonization of a universal system for taxes in the EU.
