The EU doesn't really want to get tough on Turkey; it is just because the very, very tiny island Malta had a veto and bargained support for paper tiger sanctions against Belarus in return for a tough stance towards Turkey. It is ridiculous that we trade out incommensurable sanctions because a country has a veto. I think the EU has some rethinking to do, also with respect to the Visegrad group.

  3. I am becoming impatient with the EUs idleness to change its attitude towards those domestic infighting parties within the EU. The EU should not get tough on Turkey, because Turkey can open the gates and flood the whole of the EU with unwanted immigrants; the EU ought to get tough on inconsequential counties like Cyprus, Hungary and Poland.
