If there would be a real concern about the ramifications of a hard Brexit to the accessing of financial services in London, the EU would have not relied on the trade negotiations with the Britons going positively. So, it is starting to look like not only the UK, but also the EU suffers from myopia. Now, all the EU can do short-term to diminish its reliance on the UK financial center is ramping up the preparations to a no-deal Brexit with respect to the migration of the CCPs to the EU.

  2. If there is a true willpower to do it, the EU will make sure that it instrumentalizes the facilities and infrastructure needed for a rapid migration of the CCPs. If needed, the EU supervenes on the banking sector and temporarily usurps the banking activities needed for a speedy transition.
