  9. Why India is doom as a manufacturing hub.. One big issue amongst others is corruption. Bribes were done under the table in India, but now done openly as it is normalized as part of positional benefits. What is the difference? Bribe should be taxed, but it isn't so India's government loses out. For the business operators, they cannot predict their costing, their products' cost is uncertain, so they price it higher and usually at higher end, losing to those who can have more accurate pricing. Their business operations suffer delays when they have to negotiate the 'bribes', adding more cost to their products. They cannot deduct bribe as expenses for their business. Without such deduction, business taxes will be too high. So they need it to price their product even way higher. They then cannot compete products of other nations. Foreign Investments suffer because the cost structure is unpredictable. India cannot sell! Indian government is always poor. They cannot fund public infrastructure or provide social care. That is why India will be the worst than all of ASEAN, except Philippines.

  11. Britain was positive for India. It brought discipline but that sadly has disappeared. It took India out of the Moghul control. It brought together different nations and kingdoms under India. Moghul was good too for India. Just look at the unadulterated Hinduism in Nepal, and compared that to the Islamized Hinduism in India. Too bloody in Nepal.
