You can earn over 100K per year too simply by operating a haul truck, however you must be prepared to work 12 hour shifts and both day and night shifts. Hardly fair to rob these people who work hard and are away from their families

@tubesurfer007 I get where you are coming from, but I was a mine worker for years and I worked 84 plus hour weeks, including night shift. I couldn't see my family for weeks at a time and basically sacrificed a lot to get ahead. If I was going to get extra taxes on top of the huge amount I used to pay then I wouldn't bother and neither would others. These people deserve all they earn and shouldn't be penalized.

@tubesurfer007 There's plenty of work on offer at the mining companies. My point is that they employ anyone who's prepared to work. Surely it's not fair to penalize people for working hard
