Article 5 does not guarantee boots on the ground, it means each country is to provide aid as to how the see fit or what they can provide - it may be supply of equ, financial aid etc. In other words what all of NATO has been doing to non NATO UA from 2014 where the USA & NATO funded, weaponised, built up & trained the UA military by NATO to NATO standards where it was the 2nd largest military out of NATO countries & the largest military in EU
