NATO knows full well what RU wanted as they've been saying it since 2008- UA to remain neutral and recently for UA to end the shelling of those in the Donbas - had Minsk 2 or the peace talks in April 2022 been accepted - Donbas would have remained in UA but under self rule.and NATO's continual eastward expansion would have ended
