@LoveHammerMan you clearly forgot to include this phrase from your argument of the Budapest Memorandum "from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, "except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations" No doubt you will try to give some lame argument how UA handed back their nuclear weapons, UA did not own those weapons - they were the Soviet Unions, and they took them back. Rightfully so considering Zelensky was demanding NATO does a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Moscow.

Independance is fine, shelling RU speakers in the Donbas because they want to speak their own language, have their own schools, listen to their own music etc is different. Imagine if the USA banned mexican / Spanish and shelled those in Texas / California if they opposed it. that is what UA has been doing since 2014 with 14,000 killed in the Donbas by Ukraine. Fact - USSR gave Nazi Germany their 1st major defeat in battle at Stalingrad, USSR ended Nazi Germany's last majot offensive at Kursk, the USSR were the 1st into Berlin ending the war in Europe. And the USSR were fighting the crack Nazi troops while France etc had relatively weak / inexperienced / old troops defending it. Hitlers aim was to wipe RU off the map - you don't do that using inexperienced troops

@samwickrama7633 nope the Red Army gave Nazi Germany their 1st major loss in battle at Stalingrad (1942-43), ended Nazi Germany's last major offensive at Kursk (1943) and were the 1st into Berlin ending the war in Europe. RU was fighting the crack Nazi troops, the allies fought lesser quality troops @ DDay 1944.

RU has repeatedly said they are open to peace talks - each time shot down by the USA! RU was the only country asking the UN if UA would abide by the Minsk agreement. Remember - if Zelensky abided by the Minsk agreement this never would have happened, if the USA / NATO paid attention to RU's draft for security framework in EU in Nov 2021 this never would have happened, if Zelensky signed the peace agreement in April 2022 this would have e3nded then - but we can thank that fatfk Boris Johnson fpr flying to UA and told Zelensky not to sign.

If that were any other country that ended this killing they would be lauded and Zelensky would be held for crimes against humanity. Donbas declared themselves independant as is their right for self determination under international law - but that is only when it suits the USA apparently. RU ended the genocide using the UN doctrine the Responsibility to Protect R2P - try reading up on it. Zelensky increased the shelling of the civilians in the Donbas as a deliberate act as noted by the OSCE. once again do some research

He has admitted they have no desire to manage / control populations that have no desire to be part of RU, that is why Donbas, Crimea etc were allowed to vote on their future. Nuetrality that is written in the UA constitution in 1991 with their independance. One only has to read the Minsk agreements to understand that their implementation essentially depends on constitutional reforms in Ukraine. These reforms, however, require dialogue with the autonomists. Kiev, however, has never taken these steps, and the West has never tried to get the Ukrainian authorities to do so. I doubt you have read 1 word of this document RU was the only country asking the UN if the Minsk 2 agreements would be abided by - Merkal and Zelensky have both admitted they were shams - Merkal as time to build up UA military & Zelensky said he had no intentions to abide by the agreement. Zelensky ran on a platform of pece saying he would end the shelling of the Donbas but instead of ending it - he increased it as documented by the OSCE. Minsk AND the peace agreement in April 2022 would have the Donbas remaining in UA but under self rule. RU sent a draft treaty for EU security framework to USA & NATO in Dec 2021 - admitted to by Stoltenberg - both USA & NATO ignored this proposal. The reason why you say this peace proposal was not suitable to UA was because they had no intention to end their shelling on the Donbas. RU used UN article Responsibility to Protect (R2P) to end this genocide in the Donbas, I suggest you look it up and UN articles to get your facts straight, then point out which of these UN articles the USA uses for all of their illegal wars on countries that are on the other side of the globe. US ignored UN when they said they had no legal bounds for invading Iraq. Maybe you can say what UN article and reason the USA used when they killed Iraqi General Soleiomani who is on the other side of the globe.
