2002 the USA withdrew from the anti balistic missile treaty and immediately installed missiles with nuclear capabilities in Poland & Romania. Guess they don't like it when nukes are aimed at them

yep and RU would happily trade with them selling cheap energy & minerals, now they have ruined the relationship. Putin said it will be many years, possibly decades before they resume trade with Germany

@garyyoung3179 wishful thinking with their war games, remember the west always thought the RU military was the same as the 1980's full of drunken conscripts and incompetent Generals. Thats what the USA does will every nation they go to war with - and yet the USA always loses. heard the UK navy posted online for a sub captian (from memory)
