@rjohansen9486 really? Ukraine are the ones who continually refuse peace talks, tZelensky has said he will not consider peace talks while Putin is in charge. RU & China were avail for peace talks last year but the USA torpedoed them, just as Boris Johnson torpedoed the peace agreement in April 2022. so get your facts straight before you make comments based on ignorance. reading your comment - go back to watching CNN / BBC

what are you talking about? RU annexed these regions to end Ukraines genocide of Russian speakers in the Donbas after the CIA's violent and illegal coup in 2014 to overthrow the democratically elected President Yanukovyck. Since then, the Poroshenko & Zelensky regime has been shelling these regions because they refused to acknowledge this illegal Government. 14,000 killed all with the approval of the USA / NATO / EU. RU was the only country asking the UN if the Minsk 2 agreement would be upheld which would have kept the Donbas in Ukraine but with the people under self rule, with equal rights before the law.

France to broker peace? didn't they do that last time with Minsk 2 which was just a sham to allow NATO to fund, weaponise and train UA military to NATO standards, to build up UA's military so it was the 2nd largest in NATO and the largest in Europe?
