@billfromgermany yes i do play rugby, since the early 90's. People look at midgets like Faf in front of a lock saying how tough he is standing up to men that size. The difference now is he can mouth off to them and not have his mouth shut with a fist as to what would have happened years ago. anyone can be tough to the giants when there are no repercussions for your actions

@mikespencer4922 how long have you been watching rugby - 5 years? fact - punching someone in todays game results in a red card. punching someone in the 1990's was a part of the game - look on youtube mate. Ever heard of the British & Irish Lions 99 call? so you'd best go back down the pub mate & watch the games on the telly cuz that's obviously the closest that you've ever gotten to a game

@mikespencer4922 WTF would you know mate, started playing in the early 90's & play oldies now. Back in the 90's, plenty of rucking, copped the odd fist usually while still laying in a ruck as the ball is passed down the backline, sometimes unseen by the ref, other times seen by ref or touchie, good mate had his cheek & eye socket broken by a punch, all stuff that you can no longer do. Look online at Wallabies v France 1990 - plenty of rucking, stomping, punching. no way Faf would stand up to the gorillas in the forward pack in that era - they'd punch him so hard in his mouth their fist'd go thru the back of his skull. so you know fuck all mate

@mikespencer4922 & the rules today says punching = red card. & players like Faf would never get away with what they do back in that era, or they'd do it once until one of the forwards gets hold of him. As for 99 - it made a difference that tour as the Boks knew their bully boy tactics wouldn't work
