  1. look at WW2 - the German Tiger tank was over engineered, tight tollerences, expensive, looked good, Soviets T34's were driven straight from the factory to the front line, no one bothered to grind down welds, etc,and as they say - Quantity has a quality all its own

US weapons are expensive (more profit), complex, requires perfect conditions to operate in, complicated to use, is fun to play with on the simulator, is designed to fight farmers with AK47's and sandals, meanwhile RU equ is cheap by comparison, easier to use, designed to work where it matters most - the battlefield. Look at the AK47 - pull it out of a puddle of mud & it still fires meanwhile western guns are always spit / polished as minor surface rust can make them jam
